Jack and I both love to read, and one of the subjects we enjoy reading about is sex. We have a lot of books on the topic, and we will occasionally give them a look as a prelude to sex, when we’ve got open-minded company over, or for pretty much any other reason. We keep these books on the top shelf of the bookcase in our guest room, mainly because we don’t have enough room in our bedroom. In the guest room they are out of the way, yet easily accessible when they’re needed. The only downside is that we’ve got to move them when certain out-of-town guests stay over, but this isn’t really a problem. We keep a box of travel books in our closet, and swap them for the sex books until our company is gone. Works great!
This week I am re-reading Caught Looking: Erotic Tales of Voyeurs and Exhibitionists. It’s a collection of short stories edited by Alison Tyler and Rachel Kramer Bussel. It’s been out a couple years, and I’ve read it a couple times already, but I love the themes and the stories so much that I’m enjoying my third time. When the book was first published, we attended a reading at Good Vibrations in San Francisco, got thoroughly aroused, then went home for some of the hottest sex we’d ever had. I’m still shocked that we actually made it home.
In case you can’t tell, the stories in this book are all about exhibitionism and voyeurism. From the back cover: “Watching a lover undress from the safety of a window or a hidden hole in the wall. Stripping down (or dressing up) and showing off. Secretly watching others as they expose themselves, or reversing the equation by taking center stage. For the dedicated voyeur, exhibitionist, or anyone who can’t resist peeping when they know they shouldn’t.” Here are the titles of the stories:
Curtain Call – Thomas S. Roche
Room with a View – Saskia Walker
A Flash of Gold – Radclyffe
All Eyes on Her – M. Christian
Walled Lake Girl – Tara Alton
Tight Spots – Debra Hyde
Replacements – Tenille Brown
The Changing Room – Catherine Lundoff
My Finest Hour – Stan Kent
The Stars Fell Down – Kristina Wright
Couples Welcome – Erica Dumas
Busted – Sophie Mouette
X-ray Specs – Heather Peltier
Forceful Personalities – Dominic Santi
The Poet, Dying – Simon Sheppard
Command Performance – Teresa Noelle Roberts
Volcanic Vacation – Sage Vivant
Down on Your Knees – Shanna Germain
Late Bloomer – Alison Tyler
Sharing the Perfect Cock – Rachel Kramer Bussel
Although just about every page in Caught Looking arouses me in some way, my favorite stories are probably The Stars Fell Down and X-Ray Specs. X-Ray Specs is a longtime favorite of ours, having been posted at Good Vibrations’ website long before this book was published. If you’d like to read it, you’ll find it here:

If you’re like us – if the thought of making love in front of an unobstructed floor-to-ceiling window turns you on, if you’ve ever gotten really hot viewing a webcam, if you enjoy pleasuring yourself twice as much when you’ve got an audience, if your biggest fantasies involve watching and being watched – give Caught Looking a try.
I just wish I could find this in an audiobook, because turning the pages and using a toy can be incredibly difficult when you’re uncoordinated like me. 🙂

Thanks for the recommendation! I think we will be ordering that one. And the story at that link was great!
M&L
That sounds VERY interesting. Thanks for the recommendation; we’ll have to check it out.
I have a bit of an exhibitionism streak in me, as I’m sure you know from the porno movie theater story… THAT was hot!
Mia Wallace
Do we ever know! In fact, that’s exactly why I recommended the book. You and Vincent seem like the type of couple who might get turned on by “the thought of making love in front of an unobstructed floor-to-ceiling window.”

We’d love to be voyeurs…just saying’…
– Vincent Vega
You guys pick the time and place!
-Jack
Uh oh… I’m blushing!
Mia Wallace
Not to interrupt your sex party planning or anything, but what other sex books do you guys have? I wonder if we have any titles in common.
-M&L
That’s a good idea for a future post! We can call it, “The Rest of Our Bookshelf”!
-Jack
I’ve made love in front of a floor to ceiling window. It’s even more exciting than you would think it will be.
Oh, and when is the next pizza party?
-KinkyCAgirl
We have this book too! infact, Betty read the last story to me one evening when she was too tired to do much else. i think we got halfway through it before it “worked” on me. The other half was read a few nights later. It worked just as well 🙂
Awesome! I am one of the contributors and also in the 916. Good to know some other folks in my area code are also having fun. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed it, hope you’re well and thanks for the good review.
Oh wow! Thanks for stopping by! We are both huge fans. Curtain Call is a great read! So is Operator 84, from Hide and Seek. And your story in The Mile High Club was actually enjoyed by Jill while on our last cross-country flight.
Thanks again! We are beyond ecstatic to hear from you!
